Goals
Goal 1: Growth and Performance in coursework: By the end of the 2024-2025 school year, at least 90% of students, who are eligible, will graduate or obtain the GED, increasing our graduation rate by 2%.
Strategy 1 Apply innovative MTSS interventions to increase engagement and support the learner with academic and socio-emotional needs |
Strategy 2 Provide quality instruction with high expectations for all learners to increase confidence and commitment to education. |
Goal 2: Student attendance and absenteeism rates: All students who enroll in IAS who are in need of attendance interventions will go through an empathy interview to identify root causes.
Strategy 1 SOSAs will develop and use an empathy interview that can specifically identify root cause |
Strategy 2 Increase engagement with base school partners to better understand prior interventions and leverage strong relationships that others may have with the student and family |
Strategy 3 Implement trauma-informed strategies specific to the needs identified from the empathy interview as part of a goal-directed Kid Talk. |
Goal 3: Availability of and enrollment in advanced, rigorous coursework and programs - Students referred to IAS who are enrolled in Honors courses and referred during the 1st semester (whether passing or failing) will remain in the honors course unless a parent requests otherwise. Students referred to IAS during the 2nd semester (who are passing) will also remain in the Honors course.
Strategy 1 Department chairs will support teachers in collaboration with our instruction support team with delivering the content of an Honors Course. |
