Interagency Alternative School (IAS) program is offering a Course Completion Credit Recovery (CCR) program during the summer for all interested IAS students.  If your child has been identified as a student who may need additional time to complete their IAS courses during CCR, you should have been notified by now. 

Credit Completion is used to ensure that students can complete course(s) for course credit to graduate by August 2024 or to prepare them for next year’s courses. 

A final mark of “F” awards no credit for the course, and students will not be eligible for the next level of the course. Students and families are encouraged to carefully consider the option to attend IAS CCR to complete courses for the 2023-2024 School Year.

Sessions will be held in-person, weekdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, beginning  Monday, July 8 through Friday, July 26, 2023. Expectations are that the students will attend every day, on time, until completion of their course(s). CCR will be held at Graham Road Community Building, 3036 Graham Road, Falls Church, VA 22042 or Bryant High School, 2709 Popkins Ln, Alexandria, VA 22306.

Important dates: Session Dates:  July 8 - July 28, 9:00am-2:00pm   (15 days, 5 hours per day)

Parents or guardians are responsible for transportation to CCR

Breakfast and lunch will be provided without cost by Fairfax County Public Schools. 

The student understands:

1. the requirement to complete all assigned work to receive a passing grade for the course.
2. the requirement of daily attendance until course(s) completion.

The parent/guardian

1. understands the expectations placed on their student above.
2. commits to providing reinforcement and support to their student’s success in CCR.

There is no fee involved and meals are provided as requested.  

Because the summer session is so short, attendance is strictly enforced.  If a student misses the first two days of the program without prior approval from administration, the student will be withdrawn from the program.  Once the student completes their course work, you will be notified that they are released from CCR.
