Ileana GarciaCongratulations to Ileana Garcia who was recognized as the FCPS 2021 Outstanding Non-Region Outstanding School-Based Operational Employee and one of the six finalists for the FCPS Non-Region Outstanding School-Based Operational Employee at this year's FCPS Honors event, held at Jiffy Lube Live on June 9th.

Ileana makes a difference in her students’ lives. With a contagious smile and love for students and their families, Ileana is an inspiration. Her motto is “Changing lives, one smile at a time!”. An immigrant and mother, Ileana understands the challenges that these parents face. These challenges are what motivated her to become a parent liaison. More than just a liaison, Ileana is a cultural bridge between school staff and parents from differing backgrounds and cultures. She built this bridge through the care and compassion that she has for her students and their parents. Ileana’s work would not be possible without the help of her teammates. Through this support, Ileana is able to reach families in the most successful way possible.

Congratulations to all of our staff members who were recognized at this year's FCPS Honors Ceremony!
