Four Additional Interagency Schools Staff Members Recognized at FCPS Honors!
Congratulations to Curriculum Resource Teacher Deanne Lyon who was recognized as the FCPS 2021 Outstanding Non-Region School-Based Employee and one of the six finalists for the FCPS Non-Region Outstanding School-Based Employee at this year's FCPS Honors event, held at Jiffy Lube Live on June 9th.
During her entire career in education, Deanne Lyon has worked with “at-hope” students in alternative placements, helping them overcome academic and emotional barriers by building bridges to success. As a curriculum resource teacher, Deanne also assists teachers in developing the most effective practices for their unique environments in areas including literacy, blended learning, digital platforms, and targeted intervention. As an advocate of personalized learning, Deanne amplifies student voice and agency through authentic experiences and critical thinking. She embraces and exemplifies a philosophy of care and positivity in the classroom in order to increase equity and implement strategies that support all students while instilling a love and joy of learning.
